There are surprisingly a number of very peaceful places in the Magic Kingdom. Some of them are right next to some of the most crowded and noisy spots. Here are some of our top peaceful places in the Magic Kingdom:
The Plaza A Rose Garden
Not far from the huge crowds that fill the hub area in front of Cinderella Castle you can find a peaceful rose garden with impeccable landscaping in beautiful rosebushes. If you didn’t know where to look, you might never know that this rose garden sits between the Castle and Tomorrowland. Many people don’t know of its existence or don’t bother to stop and – literally – smell the roses. If you enjoy roses or you need just a little bit of time away from the crowds, make it a point to stroll through The Plaza Rose Garden.
It certainly not one of the more high-tech or highly traveled attractions, but Tom Sawyer Island can be a peaceful respite, especially on a hot day. Take one of the boats to the island and then spend some time wondering the paths, exploring the caves, and checking out the fort that bring to life the story of Tom Sawyer and his friends. The island is normally not crowded and it is a fun place to explore. You can also find some terrific views of the rest of Frontierland.
The Rivers of America
All around Liberty Square and Frontierland you will find paths that are away from the main walks and are closer to the Rivers of America. These boardwalk areas tend to be far less crowded and also provide great views of the water. You can discover streams in little waterfalls all around.
The Main Street USA Train Station
The entrance into the Magic Kingdom at the foot of Main Street can be an especially busy place in the mornings or the evenings. When you enter the Magic Kingdom, you walk beneath the Main Street USA train station. If you take the stairs up to the train station platform, you can walk back to words the Castle on his upper level and get a terrific view of Main Street USA. There are even some tables where you can sit down, relax, and enjoy the popcorn or candy that you purchased at a nearby store. This is a terrific place to feel like you’re still a part of the action in the Magic Kingdom while not being oppressed by it.
The New Fantasyland
There are great plans for Fantasyland, and the addition of new peaceful spots in the Fantasyland Forest. Great trees will provide shade and numerous waterfalls and streams will make terrific places to sit down and watch the crowds go by.
Take A Break
There are so many things to see and do in the Magic Kingdom that many people spend all their time rushing from attraction to the attraction. That is part of the fun. However, on your next trip, make sure to take a little bit of time to sneak away from the crowds for just a few minutes and enjoy the peaceful spots available to you.
