We know that some attractions have permanently closed and some projects have been delayed at Disney World, but there is also plenty of construction and progress happening around the resort.
Construction is moving right along on Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a boutique resort that will provide an all-inclusive two-day, two-night aboard the starship Halcyon.
Experiences include a lightsaber training event, drinks in the Silver C Lounge, and a tour of the ship’s engineering room. These are in addition to an exclusive experience that will take place in Batuu, the land of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Popular Twitter user @bioreconstruct has taken to the skies above Disney World to provide some photos on the construction progress.
Let’s take a look:

Disney announced the Star Wars Hotel project at the D23 event in August 2019.
In February 2020, Disney announced that it would start to take reservations later in the year for stays in 2021. We don’t know if that timeline will still hold, and it is possible that Disney will push back the opening if there were construction delays due to Coronavirus, or if the business environment isn’t right for this project.
Excited to see continued construction progress on the Star Wars Hotel?
