Construction Continues On Canopy For Tron Coaster In Magic Kingdom

Disney is making great progress on a host of construction projects all around Walt Disney World property, from the new monorail station at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster at EPCOT.

Today we’ve got some photos of the exterior construction progress of TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.

During the construction process, the builders put many temporary brown steel girders in place to temporarily prop up the pieces of the canopy as they were assembled.  Now that all the pieces of the canopy are in place, the temporary brown steel girders are down and works are installing electrical components that will illuminate the canopy after dark.

Now that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMove is operational, it provides some great views into the TRON construction site.

Let’s take a look:

The temporary brown girders that held up the canopy was it was being built are now completely gone.

The canopy is already impressive, but it will look even better once a covering is installed.
