Disney has announced that it will begin to launch a new service called MagicMobile in 2021. It will be like having your MagicBand on your phone and will provide access to many features previously provided by MagicBands, like entry to the theme parks.
Disney will first offer the service on the Apple iPhone and Apple Watch. Just as you held your MagicBand near an access point reader, you will hold your MagicMobile enabled device near an access point reader.
Guests can manage MagicMobile through their My Disney Experience app. Guests can also use MagicBands and MagicMobile simultaneously, depending on what makes the most sense. It may still be helpful, for example, to use MagicBands at Disney Water Parks.
