Fiftieth Anniversary 50th Anniversary decorations Bunting

Additional 50th Anniversary Decoration Added to Cinderella’s Castle: Walt Disney World continues to get ready for the big 50th Anniversary celebration that kicks off on October 1, 2021. In the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle is getting quite a makeover.  Disney painted the castle in time for the reopening after the pandemic, and they are now adding bunting.


Disney Parks Announces Dates for Food and Wine 2021: This year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will run from July 15 – November 20, 2021 Disney has dropped the “Taste of” prefix from the 2021 festival name, suggesting that things are getting back to normal.

Raya and the Last Dragon Sand Sculpture Now on Display at Animal Kingdom: What happens when you ask several skilled artists to turn 40 tons of sand into a work of art?  You get a new tribute to Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon” film at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Guest Can Now Use Mobile Phone as Park Ticket: Disney is rolling out the new MagicMobile service to Disney World guests with Apple devices.  With this update, guests will be able to scan their phones at the park entrance touchpoints instead of their MagicBand or ticket.

Disney World to Pay Cast Members For Getting COVID-19 Vaccine: Disney will pay Cast Members who get their vaccination between January 1, 2021, and September 30, 2021, four hours of pay – whether they get the two-dose Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or the one-dose J&J vaccine.
