On Monday, September 17th, I had the opportunity to attend the very first Toy Story Land Early Morning Magic event courtesy of the nice folks at Disney Media Relations. I had a great time, and I wanted to share my experience with you!
Here’s what you need to know about Early Morning Magic.
What is Early Morning Magic?
Early Morning Magic is a hard-ticket event that takes place before Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens to the general public. This contrasts with Extra Magic Hours, which are open only to guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel and are included in the hotel cost.
This special event takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from now through December 19th. Gates open to ticket holders at 7:30am, and the event lasts until 8:45am.
Attendees have exclusive early access with very limited crowds to Hollywood Studios’ newest land – Toy Story Land! Step into Andy’s Backyard and hop aboard Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, or Toy Story Mania!
Tickets for this event require regular park admission, and the event itself will cost $79 plus tax per adult and $69 plus tax for every child ages 3 to 9. You can purchase tickets online or call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 827-7350.
Word on the street was that the first event sold out.
This event is similar to Disney After Hours: a hard-ticket event open to the general public (not just Disney Resort Hotel guests) with very short lines and a food offering.
Who may benefit from Early Morning Magic?
If your kids have a hard time waiting in line, this event can be great for you especially because these new Toy Story Land rides are commanding some high wait times right now.
Also, if you don’t like crowds, this event is for you! The crowds are light during these hard-ticket events, and you can get onto attractions will little wait.
If you’re a morning person, Early Morning Magic is a great option for you. You’ll get a lot done during this short amount of time, then you can go back and take an afternoon siesta!
If you hate heat, you might want to check out Early Morning Magic. The heat and humidity are very low at this time of the day, and you won’t feel the oppressive heat of the afternoon.
What’s for breakfast?
If you’re feeling hungry after all that riding, stop by ABC Commissary for a breakfast complimentary with your ticket! While the event itself only lasts until 8:45, breakfast will be available until 10am!
Besides yogurt, fruit, pastries, and cereals, guests can choose one main dish.
Let’s take a look:
Kids can choose from fried chicken with cinnamon sugar French donuts or scrambled eggs, both with sweet potato barrels.
The breakfast offerings are unique, filling, and delicious.
My experience was that the attraction lines were very short. I was able to walk on to Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers and only had to wait a minute or two to join the next ride. That “no wait” experience is a special treat.
Early Morning Magic is the next Disney offering in a growing list of hard tickets events. It offers those families with some extra budget the chance to enjoy one land with very short wait times.
Getting a hearty, unique breakfast included in the admission price helps to balance the cost.
As Ferris Bueller once said, “If you have the means, I highly recommend attending Early Morning Magic.” (Or something like that.)
Early Morning Magic: Breakfast and no lines for $79. Worth it?
