Topolino’s Terrace is located at the top of Disney’s Riviera Resort. I was lucky enough to enjoy breakfast here last week and it was thoroughly impressed! Let me walk you through the reasons why this is a great restaurant to add to your “must book” list.
The restaurant is perched atop the brand new Riviera Resort which has a distinctly European feel and charm. Surrounded by glass windows, there is beautiful natural light which makes for perfect character photos during the breakfast hours. Characters Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy will meet guests during breakfast only. Dinner is also served in the restaurant, but it is not a character dining opportunity. Keep in mind if you are on the dining plan, breakfast will be 1 credit while dinner will be 2. At dinner, you do have the opportunity to view fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Did you know that Topolino is Mickey Mouse’s Italian name?
The restaurant is quieter and more open in comparison to many other character dining restaurants and has an elegant feel. If you are looking for a more tame and relaxed way to meet these characters, this restaurant is a must! There was no rushing, the characters take their time at each table and have incredible interactions with guests.
I was very impressed.
In the time we were there, the characters circled to the room several times, making what felt were meaningful connections with each guest. Plus their outfits are adorable!
The food itself is more upscale and quite tasty! Upon seating at the classically set tables, guests will receive a basket of pastries with several spreads including honey butter, nutella, and a raspberry jam which we found out is homemade! Included in the cost is also coffee, tea and POG juice (pineapple, orange, guava).
Guests order their food from a menu which is a refreshing change of pace from the buffets many locations offer. I chose the quiche gruyere and it was spectacular. Other guests chose the waffles, croissant sandwich, and steak and nobody was disappointed. However, I will say, the quiche is the best I have ever had. Flaky crust, perfectly balanced cheeses, and hands-down incredible flavor. There is a flat rate of $42 per adult and $27 per child for the meal.
If you are not staying at the Riviera I would highly suggest this park on a morning where you are visiting Hollywood Studios or Epcot as it is just a quick ride on the Skyliner to the resort. We went to Hollywood Studios first, grabbed a boarding pass to Rise of the Resistance and then jumped on the Skyliner to head to our reservation. When breakfast completed our boarding group was called…great timing!
If you are looking for a character meal with a relaxed pace, incredible food, and great photo ops, please check out Topolino’s Terrace!
