Walt Disney World Resort Hotels offer a variety of options not available in one location anywhere else in the world. From Value Resorts costing less than $100 per night to Deluxe Resorts costing upwards of several hundred dollars per night, there is something for every budget.
If you happen to have a fat bank account and a few thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket, you might want to splurge for the Club Level Rooms at one of the Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts.
Before you open your wallet, let’s look at the top ten things you need to know about Club Level rooms at Disney World Resorts.
Club Level rooms are only available at Deluxe Resorts including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club, Disney’s Yacht Club, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Most of the resorts offer several options including Standard View, Garden View, Lagoon or Pool View, Deluxe Room, and 1 & 2 Bedroom Suites. These accommodations are the same or similar to what DVC owners get.
9. Advanced Itinerary Planning
Included in your Club Level room package is a Club Level Concierge who can assist you with making Advanced Dining Reservations, purchasing Dinner Show tickets, and scheduling recreational activities including golf and tours. They can also help celebrate special occasions including birthdays, engagements, weddings, honeymoons, and anniversaries.
8. Special Amenities
Club Level guests get additional amenities including luxurious robes, spa-quality toiletries, and a complimentary USA Today daily. There is also a DVD player in every room. You are also guaranteed to have a refrigerator, coffee pot, and assorted coffee and teas. The latter are also sometimes available even in Value Resorts, though they are more likely in moderate and deluxe rooms, but there’s no guarantee.
7. Turn-down Service
Hotel staff goes around to every Club Level Room in the early evening hours and partially unmakes the bed and fluffs the pillows. They also often leave a special treat like chocolate or a pixie dust surprise on your pillow every night.
6. Separate Check-in Area
Club Level service includes a separate check-in area where Cast Members are expecting you and will likely welcome you home you by name. This means you won’t need to go to the regular check-in desk and wait in line. The Cast Member will make sure that your room is ready before you arrive and should offer to help you with your bags.
5. Secured Keycard or MagicBand Access
Certain areas of the hotel are only accessible to Club Level Resort Guests. You will have access to an exclusive lounge area (discussed later) and special elevators, so you won’t wait as long for the elevators to pick you up and take you to your room or the lounge area.
4. Access to Private Lounge
As I mentioned, Club Level Guests will have access to a private lounge. This lounge has secure access, so only Club guests can access it (and even know where it is). The atmosphere is serene and welcoming and allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the parks and public resort areas. You’ll also find multiple televisions, couches, and board games to entertain everyone in your travelling party.
3. Amazing Views
The Polynesian Village Resort offers unobstructed views of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular and the Electric Water Pageant, and the Boardwalk Inn has incredible views of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Animal Kingdom gives guests the opportunity to observe animals as they roam the savannah. Animal Kingdom Lodge Club Level Guests also get an exclusive Sunrise Safari VIP tour. The 45-60 minute safari tour takes place on the Kilimanjaro Attraction and is followed by a private breakfast at Pizzafari. All of this takes place before the park even opens and is a great way to get exclusive access.
2. Complimentary Food and Drink
Perhaps the most valuable part of Club Level Resort Rooms is the complimentary food and drink throughout the day.
Guests can enjoy coffee and juices between 6:30 am and 7:00 am followed by a continental breakfast from 7:00 am to 10:30 am. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks including iced tea, soda, lemonade, coffee, crackers, pretzels, cookies, and nuts are served in the afternoon from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hot and cold appetizers from the restaurants with wine and beer are available from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and a dessert spread including cordials is out between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm. For the adults, wine, beer, and cocktails are available in the evening at no additional cost.
These amenities almost pay for the cost of the room if you use them wisely- read: eat and drink as much as possible.
1. Added Convenience and Luxury
All of this may seem excessive, but Disney can be a daunting place if you don’t have time to plan or if you don’t know what to plan for. The Cast Members who provide this service to Club Level Guests are knowledgeable and experienced and can do everything from suggest and make FastPass+ reservations to book exclusive dining options. If you really want the best experience possible, Club Level is the way to go.
