Many people worry about food and dieting in their real lives, and with good reason, but wouldn’t it be fun to not worry about eating healthy while on your Disney vacation?
After all, Disney calories don’t count!
Here are my top six Disney snacks.
1. Kitchen Sink
The Kitchen Sink is a huge dessert that should probably be shared between at least few people just because of its sheer size. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop serves up eight scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, and coffee ice cream along with mashed up brownies, angel food cake, hot fudge, butterscotch and peanut butter syrup, bananas, marshmallow cream, strawberry, pineapple, and whipped topping, almonds, chocolate shavings, jellied orange slices, milk chocolate and peanut butter chips, chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, and maraschino cherries.
If you need a sugar rush to get you going or keep you up all night, this will certainly do it!
2. Mickey Ice Cream Bar
I dare you to make it through an entire vacation without getting the famous Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar. The vanilla ice cream covered in a thick, hard chocolate shell in a Mickey shape just makes me happy. You can’t have a bad day eating this delicious treat! Find them at the snack carts and in the resort freezers.
3. Dole Whip
Dole Whip is one of the most famous desserts in Walt Disney World. This fruity sorbet-style treat is unlike anything you can get anywhere else. With flavors including pineapple, orange, vanilla, or a swirl of multiple flavors, there’s a flavor for everyone. Why not try a Dole Whip float? They even make alcoholic version for the grown-ups! You can find these treats in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom or at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
4. Chocolate-Covered Bananas
I have to admit, I’ve only recently become addicted to these pretty healthy snacks. The frozen banana on a stick covered in a thick, hard chocolate rolled in nuts is truly satisfying. They can be found at almost all snack carts in the parks and in the freezer cases at the resorts.
5. Mickey Pretzel
Sometimes you’re craving something salty and savory rather than sweet and chocolatey. This is the perfect time to enjoy a Mickey pretzel. This delicious treat can be found at some food stands. You can even get dipping sauces like cheese and mustard.
6. Caramel and Chocolate Apple
I have to admit: I can’t leave Magic Kingdom without stopping by the Main Street Confectionary for a decadent caramel and chocolate-covered apple. They range from simple to elaborate coming as plain or with toppings like M&Ms, nuts, sprinkles, sugar, and many more. The Mickey and Minnie apples even have marshmallow ears covered in chocolate.
Is Dole Whip the best snack in all of Walt Disney World?
