The Top Seven Places to Watch Fireworks in Magic Kingdom

Every night, Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom comes to life with state of the art projection technology and one of the best fireworks shows you’ve ever seen in your life: Happily Ever After.

Disney spares no expense making this show fantastic, and visitors know it.

The best viewing spots start to fill in well before the event begins, so it’s important to have a plan before you get there. There are lots of good viewing spots, but some are better than others.

Let’s take a look at the top seven places to watch the fireworks in Magic Kingdom

7. Near Cinderella Castle

The fireworks happen just behind Cinderella Castle, so if you want to be right under the fireworks (and you don’t mind craning your neck up a bit to see them), watching from near the Castle Walls is a great place. You’ll be totally immersed in the magic of the show, and there will be few distractions.

6. Adventureland

Adventureland is just to the left of the Castle. This land has an exotic, Far East theme with a desert backdrop and plenty of palm trees that make for a nice frame for the fireworks. If you can get a spot near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, you’ll have a nearly unobstructed view.

5. Frontierland

Frontierland has a large open area right by Rivers of America and the Liberty Belle just as it transitions to Liberty Square. This “riverwalk” area offers a wide-angle view of the show, and if you stand in a place where you can see the fireworks reflect off the water, it’s quite beautiful.

You'll want to find a good spot to watch the fireworks in Magic Kingdom because the best spots fill up quickly!

4. Fantasyland

Fantasyland is a really cool place, but you can’t see Cinderella Castle from all locations. While the fireworks are in the sky, it’s important to be able to see the projection too. If you’re watching from Fantasyland, stand near Journey of the Little Mermaid. Like Frontierland, this is a wide-angle view with typically lighter crowds.

3. Tomorrowland – Space Mountain

Tomorrowland is also a large land to the right of Cinderella Castle. For a big-picture view of the show, stand near Space Mountain near the back of Tomorrowland. You’ll have an excellent view of the Castle projection and the fireworks.

2. Tomorrowland – Entrance

One of my favorite places to watch the fireworks is near the entrance of Tomorrowland.  However, it can get pretty crowded here, since it’s kind of a tight space and there’s a large area taped off for pedestrian traffic.

If you can secure a spot, you’ll have to look straight up, but you’ll have a perfect view of the castle project and of the fireworks while being immersed in the show.

1. Main Street USA

If Cinderella Castle is the center of the excitement, it seems logical that you’d want to get as close to it as possible. In fact, the pyrotechnicians create the show to be seen from far away to accommodate the large crowds in the parks.

As such, viewing the fireworks from really any spot on Main Street USA is indeed the most ideal location. You’ll also have one of the most iconic views. However, the street and sidewalks and even side streets get very full even when the park itself isn’t that crowded. As an added benefit, this location is in close proximity to the park’s exit so you won’t be waiting quite as long for the bus, ferry boat, or monorail.
