The Disney World theme parks have plenty of attractions, shows, and shops to keep a family occupied and entertained for weeks. But with all that fun you can work up quite an appetite.
There are many Disney World dining options – from food cart and quick service restaurants to sit down dining. But one of the most popular options is the buffet. You get all the food you can eat, and there is a wide selection of food items to make sure everyone gets something they like. Plus, because it is Disney, you can expect good quality and a fun experience.
Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Tusker House is a popular breakfast buffet. You will get to visit with many of the same characters you will see at the ever-popular Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but you will generally have more time to spend with them. The chefs that provide the food for Boma in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge also manage this restaurant – and Boma is one high-quality restaurant. Breakfast offers an amazing array of foods from eggs to meat, from potatoes to biscuits and gravy, from fruits and cereals to yogurt and pastries. After breakfast is over, you are close to the Kilimanjaro Safari (a must do at the Animal Kingdom) and just a short walk to Expedition Everest. Tusker House offers lunch and dinner too, but do yourself a favor and enjoy an amazing breakfast here.
Take a trip to Germany with an all you can eat lunch or dinner experience in this buffet located inside the Germany Pavilion in Epcot‘s World Showcase. Kids and adults alike enjoy the musical styling of the oompah band, although some kids will find the offerings a little too exotic. Take in heaps of pork schnitzel, rotisserie chicken, spaetzle, bratwurst, potato dumplings, and the oh-so-delicious red cabbage. Desserts include vanilla pudding, Bavarian cheesecake, and apple strudel. You can compliment your meal with a glass of wine from the Rhine region or a tall stein of German beer.
The food is a bit on the standard side, but the location and fun is awesome. Located inside the Magic Kingdom, you can arrange your breakfast Advanced Dining Reservation so that you can actually get into the park before it opens – great for those unusual photos you’re your family on a nearly empty Main Street USA. Enjoy your meal with Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. Get out into the park early and enjoy some of the fun that the Magic Kingdom has to offer. If you chose to dine here for lunch, you will enjoy salads, rolls, BBQ Pork Tenderloin, salmon, Rotisserie chicken, and desserts such as chocolate brownies, and cookies.
