Taking On Disney’s Kitchen Sink – The Biggest Ice Cream Sundae Around

Of course we’re not talking about the sink where you wash dishes.  We’re talking about a colossal ice cream sundae called The Kitchen Sink.

Where You Can Find The Kitchen Sink Ice Cream Monster?

Where can you find a kitchen sink?  Only at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.  The resort is in the Epcot area, and it is themed to like classic in New England beachside towns.  The resort contains many of amenities, including the Yachtsman Steakhouse (where you can get fine stakes in an upscale dining environment) and the Beaches And Cream Soda Shop which is home to The Kitchen Sink.

The Beaches And Cream Soda Shop is a rather small restaurant that serves hamburgers, shakes, and of course ice cream.  It is themed to the soda shops of the 1950s and is a rather small place.  It often fills up around mealtimes, so consider going between lunch and dinner were late in the evening.

The kitchen sink is no ordinary Sunday. It is huge.  Really huge.  It contains scoops of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, and coffee ice cream.  It has brownies, candy bars, bananas, and a complete angel food cupcake as well as a cinnamon cupcake.  It is topped off with hands full of cherries and every ice cream topping available – including strawberries, pineapples, marshmallow, peanut butter, fudge, and butterscotch.  It has every ice cream adornment you can imagine – including sprinkles, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and almonds.  It is all covered with an entire can of whipped cream – yes, a complete entire can of whipped cream.

Whenever anyone order as the kitchen sink, sirens will light up and the server brings it out with great fanfare.  The server makes a loud announcement that someone is about to challenge The Kitchen Sink Sundae.  This normally causes quite a stir in brings smiles to the faces of everyone.

There are actually quite a few YouTube videos about the kitchen sink.  Some are a bit long and boring, and others are just a little cheesy.  We found a video that was short and sweet: it shows the server at the Beaches And Cream Restaurants making the grant announcement as the lights flash and sirens sound.  She puts the monster ice cream sundae on the table for an older gentleman to enjoy.  His spoon is ready, and of its huge smile on his face tells the complete story.
