If you follow Disney World news at all, you know that the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is well under way. Since the festival is included in your admission to Epcot, and because it’s a really fun and wonderful festival, it’s become very popular over the last two decades.
However, the Epcot Food and Wine festival is not the only game in town (or in Disney World)!
If you are a real foodie, you might want to experience even more food and beverage opportunities. In this case, you will want to think about Walt Disney Resort’s Swan & Dolphin’s Food and Wine Festival.
Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Festival
This year marks the seventh annual Food and Wine Festival at the Swan and Dolphin Hotels at the Disney World Resort. This event mirrors a lot of what Epcot’s festival has with 50 food and beverage stations from the Swan and Dolphin’s award-winning restaurants, live entertainment, a beer garden, and beverage options from all around the world.
There are also seminars for everything a foodie could ever want. The Craft Cocktails Seminar, which discusses the origins of popular cocktails and teaches you how to make them, is new this year as is the More than Malbec Seminar, which is about Argentinian Wines including tasting and pairing. Returning seminars are wine blending, Italian wines, pasta making, and cheese pairings just to name a few. All of the seminars are led by the world-class chefs of the two hotels, and celebrity chef Todd English will make an appearance as well.
Also new this year are the immersive areas including San Francisco’s Chinatown with crispy duck and Shanghai dumplings.
The festivities take place on Friday and Saturday, October 28th and 29th from 5:30 to 9:30 in the evening.
Sunday Bubbles is a brunch, which features cured meats, imported cheeses, sushi, and trattoria-inspired entrees. This special event is sponsored by J Vineyards and is held at Il Mulino New York Trattoria.
Planning Your Stay
The Swan and Dolphin Resorts offer overnight packages for one or two nights including the room and tickets to the outdoor festival starting at $392. However, the event is open to the public and does not require a stay at the hotels.
The ten seminars require separate tickets priced at $50 per person per seminar.
Guests can purchase tickets for unlimited food and beverage for $105, which is a decent deal as far as these things go. Add a Beer Garden upgrade of $25 for a total of $130. The Sunday Bubble Brunch will run you $75 per guest.
All of these prices include tax except the hotel cost.
