Over the years, there was talk of a resurgence in the Muppets including never-realized plans for a Muppet themed restaurant and the Great Muppet Movie Ride (a parody of the Studios’ Great Movie Ride).
When the Walt Disney Company purchased Jim Henson Productions back in 2004, there were renewed hopes for Muppet characters.
While there have been great hopes, we have mostly just seen a few minor changes over the years. Disney re-mastered the film for the Muppet Vision 3D attraction into Disney Digital 3D back in 2009. They also occasionally upgrade the posters in the queue to promote recent movies.
A few new Muppet movies have come and gone too. However, just as the Muppet characters are always struggling to put on a show or save the day, it doesn’t seem like they have made a huge come-back as many have hoped. At least not yet.

While we wait for a big break for the Muppets, we can still enjoy what we already have.
The Muppet Vision 3D show is fun to see even if you have seen in in the past.
However, there is something fun to see before you even get inside the show building: The Muppets Fountain.
The fountain foreshadows the fun and mayhem you will see in the actual show. It is also a beautiful work of art that adds motion and fun to the Streets of America area.
