When the first phase of the new Fantasyland opened in the Magic Kingdom (including Under The Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, Enchanted Tales With Belle, Gaston’s Tavern, and the still-incredibly-popular Be Our Guest Restaurant), many people thought that the only thing left to open was the Princess Fairytale Hall and the much-anticipated Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster.
That basically summarizes the New Fantasyland, except for one new snack food location: Prince Eric’s Village Market.
The Market is built into the side of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster. The coaster isn’t scheduled to open until 2014, but Disney has selectively taken down some construction walls to open this new food location, which focuses on healthy snack options.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster is still under construction.
Prince Eric’s Village Market is located directly across from the entrance to Under The Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. It’s a small location, but it is well staged with plenty of nautically-themed wood crates and overhead fabric to keep things cool.
There are plenty of interesting details and theming.
