Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, commemorating a major life event, or vacationing just for fun, these opportunities are sure to make a memory.
1. Wild Africa Trek
The Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a personalized guided tour allowing you to explore the trails of the savanna during a bushwalk. The excursion will cost you $189 per person, and you’ll get an amazing behind the scenes look at Animal Kingdom.
2. Pirates League
The Pirates League at Disney’s Magic Kingdom will take your little Disney fan aged three and over and give them a pirate makeover complete with a sword and sheath, an earring and an eye patch, a temporary tattoo, a pirate coin necklace, and a personalized pirate oath. For $29.95, your little pirate will even gain access to a secret treasure room!
3. Segway Personal Transporter tour
Tour the Wilderness Back Trail at Fort Wilderness lodge on your own Segway. Friendly Cast Members will even train you to use your Segway before your two-hour outdoor experience. Tours leave at 8:30 and 11:30 every morning and cost $95.85 per person.
4. Harmony Barber Shop
Visit the Old-fashioned Harmony Barber Shop on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street USA. Kids under 12 years of age can get their haircut for just $15, and adults are $19. The barbershop even does special My First Haircut occasions for $19. The cut is complete with pixie dust, bubbles, stickers, and special My First Haircut mouse ears! Be sure to have your video camera ready for this! You’ll want to remember it forever!
5. Go Surfing
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is home to a 2.75 million gallon wave pool with three- to six-foot waves. For $165, you can have a surfing lesson with a professional surfer on select mornings before the park opens. You’ll not only have the pool to yourself, but you’ll have the entire park to yourself! How rad is that?
6. Rent a watercraft
For as little as $7, you can rent a canoe for 30 minutes and explore the waters of Walt Disney World Resort. With a variety of other non-motorized and motorized water craft including Sea Raycers, Boston Whaler Montauk boats, and kayaks, you’re sure to find something that will strike your fancy. What’s even better is that the cost is minimal with the most expensive excursion ringing in at $50.
7. Starlight Safari
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge hosts a Starlight Safari each evening at 10pm. Explore the resort’s savanna in an open-sided vehicle. The savanna is home to 200 mammals and exotic birds. The one hour event is priced at less than $100 (price subjected to change).
8. Go fishing
If your ideal vacation includes wrangling a 14-pound largemouth bass, Disney has got you covered. Hop onto a fishing boat complete with all of the fishing gear you’ll need, cold drinks, and a camera to back up your fish stories. You’ll even get your own expert guide to help you bring in the big one. This catch-and-release experience can accommodate up to five people and gives all guests a one-year membership to BASS as well as other benefits.
9. Go Parasailing
Bay Lake provides a beautiful backdrop for a single or tandem parasailing experience. The uniquely designed boat allows for a dry takeoff sending you up to 600 feet in the air for up to ten minutes. You’ll also have a dry landing, so you’ll never get wet! The cost is between $95 and $130 for a single flyer and $170-$195 for tandem flyers.
10. Go Diving
Disney’s Epcot is home to the second largest aquarium in the world, and you can have the opportunity to dive in this 6-million gallon tank if you’re at least 10 years old and have a SCUBA certification. Get an unobstructed view of up to 65 species of marine life including sharks, turtles, rays, and tropical fish for $186. You’ll get a limited edition t-shirt, refreshments, a dive certificate, and a dive log stamp.
