Awesome Magic Kingdom Food Find: Nutella Waffle With Fruit

I like dining at Disney World as much as the next Disney enthusiast, but I have been looking for a quick service lunch item that is both unique and delicious at the Magic Kingdom – something just a bit different and new, you know?

There are plenty of quick service options all over the Magic Kingdom, but they aren’t necessarily unique.

I like Pecos Bills in Frontierland.  The taco bowl is good, since you can fill it up at the toppings bar. But that isn’t especially unique. Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland serves some good options, but I’ve found them to be just OK.

And I have to admit that I haven’t yet been able to get into the Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland. I can’t wait to try it out for lunch, but the lines have just been too long.

A New Find

So I was thrilled when I finally tried Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square. When I think of dining in Liberty Square, I think about the Columbia Harbor House (which does have some good and unique food choices) and the Liberty Tree Inn (which has good but traditional choices).

Sleepy Hollow doesn’t really draw a lot of attention to itself. It’s located on the bridge as you enter into Liberty Square from the Cinderella Castle hub.

But once you find it, you will be glad you did.

It can be easy to miss Sleepy Hollow.

Menu

The menu has lots of waffles. You can get them prepared in a traditional way, with sugar or fruit and whipped cream. You can also get them as a lunch time sandwich with sweet and spicy chicken, or with ham, prosciutto, and Swiss. Those sounds great too. The menu also features a soup of the day and funnel cakes.

A New Favorite

The item I would like to talk about today, which is now a personal favorite, is the Nutella and fresh fruit waffle sandwich.

I’m not sure why Disney decided to call this entrée a sandwich since it is served more like a bowl or a flat waffle. I don’t personally recommend trying to fold this over and eat it like a sandwich. Instead, sit down with a fork and get ready for a treat.

The waffle is freshly made on one of many waffle irons all lined up for the purpose. The cooked waffle is then covered with Nutella. You know Nutella, right? It’s like a creamy chocolate spread, which is absolutely delicious. Cover all of this with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, and you have a unique quick service food choice.

This waffle is simply delicious.

I’ve never seen anything just like it anywhere else, and it is absolutely delicious. It is a new favorite.

Have you tried Disney’s Nutella waffle?  Does it sound good to you?
