New Tomorrowland Entrance Sign in Magic Kingdom

The Tomorrowland sign that stood in Magic Kingdom since 1994 was removed in July 2019 as part of an effort to reduce clutter and make signs more readable.

Earlier this week, an oversized truck brought the new sign-in on a flatbed truck through the Epcot Entrance. The sign was installed overnight and could be seen in the park for the first time on September 17th.

Let’s take a look:

The new sign is silver metal and has a minimalistic yet bold design. It is anchored to the bridge that crosses from Cinderella Castle to Tomorrowland, and the arches rise up to almost make an X. Instead of crossing in the middle, there is a circle with the simple, bold font spelling out “TOMORROWLAND”.

At first I wasn’t so sure what I thought about the new sign, but now I really like it.  It looks pretty futuristic to me!

What do you think of the new Tomorrowland sign?
