One of the most popular activities in Epcot’s World Showcase is to sample food and drink from around the world at the various World Showcase kiosks, counter-service restaurants, and table-service restaurants. There are several options in the eleven country pavilions, and there’s no shortage of small bites, entrees, snacks, sweet and savory eats, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

This summer, there will be a new restaurant to try!

Epcot’s World Showcase will be getting a new table-service restaurant in the Japan pavilion.

Takumi-Tei (“the house of the artisan”) will celebrate the natural beauty of Japan honoring both the craftsmanship and the natural world. The upscale dinner menu will feature food inspired by nature and the artisan including wagyu beef and a multi-course tasting menu with traditional tea service. There will also be signature cocktails, premium sake, and wine and craft beer.

Takumi-Tei will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, who already operates the merchandise store and two other restaurants in the Japan Pavilion, Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining.
