The TTA PeopleMover has not circled the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland since the Park’s reopening in July 2020. In fact, the attraction has not officially run since March before COVID-19 forced Walt Disney World to shut down.
As the summer months went on, information on the PeopleMover’s status “moved” from temporarily unavailable, to officially under refurbishment. The process has been full of delays pushing the PeopleMover’s reopening date back until at least November 2020.
Information about what refurbishments are coming to the Mover has been mostly based on rumors. As the refurbishments slowly draw to an end, we are starting to get information on what changes are still ahead for Tomorrowland.
Recently, a permit was filed with Orange County by Crown Roofing LLC. The permit lists the location as TTA 1225 Monorail. Now, the permit does not detail the work that Crown will be conducting, but it’s reasonable to assume that roof work is just one of several touch-ups Disney is performing on the PeopleMover.
Miss the PeopleMover? Glad the TTA is getting some TLC?
