Disney World may offer free transportation all across it’s property, but it’s not always the most efficient. Buses are slow and can be overcrowded, ferries are few and far between, and even the very cool monorail has issues of its own with multiple stops and even the transfer required at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Last year, Disney made a small step in providing a new transportation option to help take the load off of these free services it offers. They partnered with Lyft to put 27 Chevrolet minivans (which became known as Minnie Vans for their red and white polka dots) into service at a few Disney Deluxe Resorts in the Epcot area. Guests could travel from Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or Disney’s Boardwalk Inn to several locations on property.
Now, Disney has nearly doubled their super-cute Minnie Van fleet to 50 vehicles servicing each and every one of the Disney resort hotels. Each van holds up to six passengers, so you can travel from any resort hotel to any number of other locations on property for just $25.
