Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2019 (Photos, Videos)

It’s that time of year again! It’s the most wonderful time of the year at the most magical place on earth, and Disney certainly knows how to celebrate!

This year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts in early November and ends just a few days before Christmas.

Event dates:

  • November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, and 24
  • December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, and 22

I had a chance to attend the party this year, courtesy of the nice folks at Disney Media Relations.  Let’s take a look at some of what this year’s party has to offer!

Character Meet and Greets

There are more than a dozen character meet and greets available at the party this year including some rare and exclusive ones including Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws and Scrooge McDuck.

It wouldn’t be Christmas with Santa Claus! Have you been naughty or nice this year?

There are lots of dining options available during the party! You’ll get plenty of seasonal snacks and drinks included in your admission and even more available for purchase. Those with dietary restrictions can request healthy and gluten-free alternatives.

But if that’s not enough, you can make Advanced Dining Reservations for other experiences!

Some of the Magic Kingdom Restaurants are open for reservations including Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Crystal Palace, and The Plaza Restaurant.

Tomorrowland Terrace hosts Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party with cupcakes, chocolate-dipped strawberries, ice cream, cheeses, fresh and seasonal fruit, hot and cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and more. This party is an additional $84 for adults and $50 for kids ages 3 to 9.

Tony’s Town Square also has a party: Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party! This dining experience is less sweet and more complete with a variety of hors d’oeuvres, charcuterie, mini desserts, and even Tony’s famous meatballs plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This shared-seating experience also includes reserved parade viewing at 9:30 pm and 12:30 am and costs $99 plus tax for all guests.

The party has lots of fun events throughout the evening!

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is a stage show at the foot of Cinderella Castle, which is lit by Queen Elsa during A Frozen Holiday Wish.

The Once Upon a Christmastime Parade lights up Main Street USA with beloved characters, fun floats, and snow!  It is a crowd favorite!

In Tomorrowland, check out A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas and Club Tinsel, which transforms Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café into a dance club!

It wouldn’t be a Disney party without fireworks, and this year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has a new fireworks show. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is hosted by Minnie Mouse!

If all of this isn’t enough to keep you busy, there are also many attractions open during the party!

In Frontierland, you can ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. In Liberty Square, Haunted Mansion celebrates the holidays with a haunted twist. In Fantasyland, check out Dumbo the Flying Elephant, it’s a small world, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and in Tomorrowland, Space Mountain plays Christmas music while you fly through space!

Tomorrowland Speedway and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor also has holiday overlays.

The Speedway features retro-futuristic, lighted Christmas decorations to enjoy during your tour.
