As part of the Limited Time Magic promotion, Disney presented a show filled with percussion, hip hop, acrobatics, and tap – all with a modern and high-energy twist.
The show, called Mickey’s America Streetbeat, ran from July 8 – 14, 2013 and was presented at the American Gardens Theatre across the World Showcase promenade from The American Adventure.
It was presented four times each day – at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The show includes a young, talented, and energetic cast with great musical and dance skills. From flips to tap, from drums to making rhythms with baseball bats, they make music and art in a fun and engaging way.
Each of the four Disney characters in the show also has a way to participate – Goofy plays the drums, Mickey and Minnie dance, and before it’s all over Donald gets a chance to shake his tail feathers!
The audience seemed to really enjoy the show, and I did as well. The comments I’ve read on the Disney blogosphere seemed to be positive – appreciating a nicely done, fun show for Limited Time Magic: something that was a bit special.
