Top Five Things to Love about Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Walt Disney World is home to 25 resort locations, each with unique theming and price ranges for every budget.

The Yacht Club is in the middle price range of the Deluxe Resorts, but guests will definitely get their money’s worth.

5. Nautical Theme

All Disney Resorts are uniquely themed, but the Deluxe Resorts do a really great job. The nautical theming at the Yacht Club will put anyone in a New England waterfront spirit even in the land-locked locale of Central Florida. From the lighthouse to the pier to the boat rentals, get your fill of the water at this resort.

4. Tranquility

Water usually lends to a very tranquil experience. Unlike the Beach Club, which is close to the Boardwalk and the nightlife that comes with it, the Yacht Club is somewhat secluded and allows guests to truly experience the “Disney Bubble.”

3. Walk or Sail to Hollywood Studios

Although many people cite Hollywood Studios as their least favorite theme park, it is getting a makeover and promises some big things in the future. There are also some not-to-miss attractions at the Studios: Rockin’ Rollercoaster, Star Tours, Muppets, and Toy Story Mania. From the Yacht Club, guests can walk or take a boat! It’s quick and easy, and you don’t have to deal with the Disney busses.

2. Walk to Epcot

In contrast, Epcot is one of the most popular parks in Disney World. Just a short walk away from the Yacht Club through the International Gateway, what could be better than enjoying an evening meal at one of the Country Pavilions in World Showcase or catching one last ride on Soarin’ before it closes for the evening? I can’t think of much!

1. Stormalong Bay

Stormalong Bay is one of the most unique pools in all of Disney and the world at large. This water area is host to a lazy river, bridges, seaside theming, and a water slide with a view. One of the most extraordinary details of Stormalong Bay is that this is the only pool in Disney World with a sandy bottom! Dip your toes in the water and the sand! You won’t be disappointed.
