I recently had a chance to stay at Disney’s Art of Animation resort hotel. The resort features rooms with different themes, and today will take a look at the Little Mermaid themed rooms.
The Little Mermaid rooms are the furthest away from the Art of Animation lobby, so you will spend a bit more time getting around at this resort if you stay in one of these rooms.
Skyliner Access
Art of Animation, together with its sister hotel Disney’s Pop Century, are now very convenient locations due to the shared Skyliner station on Hourglass Lake. Both Art of Animation and Pop Century are huge resorts, and it takes time to walk around. However, once you make it to the Disney Skyliner, you are just a quick flight to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riveria Resort. From the EPCOT station, you are steps away from Disney’s Boardwalk.
Good Amenities And Good Grub
The rooms are modern and up to date. They include:
- a huge flat-screen television – playing Disney Resort TV programs as well as typical cable channels
- tiled floors in the sleeping area and bathroom – no more dirty carpet
- clean white bedsheets – no more dirty bedspreads
- coffee and tea maker
- small refrigerator
- USB charging ports and plenty of outlets for all your electronics
It’s worth the walk to get to the food court at the resort, called Landscape of Flavors. It’s probably one of the best quick-service restaurants at a Disney Value resort and typically includes unique offerings – although the offerings are more limited in this COVID-19 era.
Let’s take a look:

The Art of Animation is not an understated resort. It screams Disney, but in a fun way. If you are young, or young at heart, you will enjoy staying here.
