Whether you are a foodie or just looking for a few interesting dining experiences on your next vacation to Disney World, you have plenty of options.
Many of the signature restaurants grab all of the headlines. The interesting atmosphere and high quality cuts of meat at the Le Cellier in the Canada pavilion have people raving. And year after year, the ultimate dining experience of Victoria and Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa wins award after prestigious award.
But you don’t have to spend lots of time and money to enjoy unique food at Disney World. And this is especially true in World Showcase at Epcot. And you don’t even have to spend big bucks or secure a hard to get dining reservation at a sit-down restaurant to try something new and interesting.
Something Different – The Joy Of Tea
The Joy Of Tea is a stand located on the lagoon side of World Showcase. It is part of the China pavilion. As the name suggests, you can get some very interesting teas in this location. One of the feature beverages you can purchase here, oolong tea, has long been popular in China. Some health experts say that this tea can help with a variety of conditions ranging from heart disease to cholesterol levels to weight gain. This tea has been used for more than 400 years in China and is fermented.
At the Joy Of Tea stand you can enjoy oolong tea combined with fruit flavors such as peach or strawberry. It comes as a traditional drink or it has a slushy combined with ice. Sounds refreshing, doesn’t it?
More Drinks And Food Too
For adults looking for a way to relax, the stand also offers beverages made with vodka, rum, and plum wine. You can also get a few different Chinese beers.
If you are hungry and looking for a snack, the Joy Of Tea stand and also offers ginger ice cream and a few hot items including egg rolls, pork buns, and curry chicken pockets. Most of the items at this location cost less than $10.00.
