Today I had an opportunity to interview Sara, a Research & Development Imagineer with Walt Disney Imagineering who is working on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. She is part of the team that is readying the Halcyon to welcome guests to the Galactic Starcruiser starting on March 1, 2022.
Sara is working to create the lightsaber training with new interactive effects – and a bit of magic. She also talks about how Disney is now working with performers – the characters who will inhabit the ship – to get ready for the resort’s opening.
The Star Wars: Glactic Starcruiser will also enable guests to explore the Star Wars universe on their own terms, whether it is dressing up and role playing an adventure, or sitting back an enjoying a cocktale.
