While Disney will not present Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party this year, they have announced a new approach to celebrating Halloween at the Magic Kingdom.
Let’s take a look at the plans:
Halloween Decorations
From September 15 to October 31, 2020, Disney will decorate the Magic Kingdom in its fall finest.
Halloween Cavalcade
The Magic Kingdom will present a Halloween featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and other Dinsey characters wearing Halloween outfits.
Chip and Dale will appear in Frontierland, and Disney characters will ride the horse-drawn trolley down Main Street, U.S.A.
Costumes
For the first time outside of special hard-ticketed events, guests of all ages can wear costumes during regular Magic Kingdom operating hours from September 15 – October 31. Adults are not permitted to wear costume masks; only children younger than 14 can do that.
Disney will still require that all guests wear a face covering.
Food
It’s not a Disney celebration without some special food offerings. Disney will offer several special Halloween treats in the Magic Kingdom:
Disney will offer a pumpkin spice waffle treat at the Magic Kingdom.
- Mickey Cinnamon Roll (Available at Main Street Bakery) – Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll drizzled with orange and white icing
- Cinnamon Donuts (Available at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café) – Served in a Hitchhiking Ghost Novelty container
- Hades Nachos (Available at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café) – Black bean nacho chips with “fiery” buffalo chicken, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeño
- Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake (Available at Liberty Square Market) – Citrus cake with raspberry Bavarian cream, whipped cream flowers, and a chocolate axe

Merchandise
Disney will offer unique Halloween-themed merchandise, including a new spirit jersey, Loungefly backpack, candy-swirl Minnie Mouse headband, and apparel featuring Disney Villains.
