Disney World offers a variety of transportation options. Following the closures due to the pandemic, some of these transportation options were not available, but some are coming back.
Disney World’s Friendship Boats will resume full service on November 1st.
The Friendships have two operating locations and service the surrounding resorts. Those boats that operate at EPCOT’s International Gateway and Disney’s Hollywood Studios also service Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, all Disney Vacation Club Resorts, plus Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts. Other boats operate at Magic Kingdom and provide service to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Service times vary, but boats begin operation as early as one hour before park closing and operate one hour after park closing. Check your MyDisneyExperience app for details and operating hours for a specific day.
Disney wants to assure guests that physical distancing will be practiced on board, and no luggage or alcohol is permitted. If you have a stroller, it must be folded and stowed.
At this point in time, the boats at Disney Springs servicing Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Disney’s Old Key West Resort are not operating.
Are you glad that water transportation is returning to Disney World?
