Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2018 TopiariesHerb Leibacher·March 7, 2018Disney RoundupEpcot It’s that time of year again! Epcot is in full bloom, and the International Flower and Garden Festival has begun for the 25th year! I love this time of year in Florida. The weather is perfect, the sun is shining bright, and the Disney horticulturalists are working overtime to make Epcot beautiful! What makes Epcot so special during the Festival? The topiaries of course! Let’s take a look at what the horticulturalists have created this year! 2018 Flowers & Topiaries The ponds near the Imagination and Test Track pavilions are covered with beautiful flowers in full bloom. One of my favorite parts of the Flower and Garden Festival is the butterfly garden. In many spots near the butterfly tent you can see butterfly and flower topiaries. If you’ve never seen this large Lightening McQueen topiary, you need to see it as soon as possible! it’s pretty impressive. Bambi and Flower are just hanging out in the meadow. Thumper isn’t too far behind! World Showcase Miniature Bonsai trees that Disney horticulturalists show off near the Japan pavilion. They look huge, but really are just about two feet tall. Snow White and her Seven Dwarfs march merrily along near Germany. Eeyore and Piglet near Canada! “Thanks for noticin’ me!” Winnie the Pooh- the jolly old bear, located near the UK. Rafiki raising Simba is a classic scene from the movie, and this topiary catches it beautifully! Lady and Tramp are falling in love in Italy! This troll in Norway is kinda, well, odd looking, but hit fits in the pavilion’s culture. Look how cute this panda bear is in China! The Three Caballeros on stage in Mexico. Are you a fan of Disney’s topiary displays?
