The 1989 Disney classic movie The Little Mermaid has come to life in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. The classic dark ride attraction, called Under The Sea – Journey Of The Little Mermaid, is a great ride suitable for all ages. It is basically a duplicate of the same ride in Disney’s California Adventure theme park in California, but that just means that folks on both coasts of the United States get to enjoy a fun, musical voyage.
Great Detail Before The Ride
While the rides in Florida and California are very similar, the exterior and queue areas are very different. The version in Florida is incredible. You pass by the majestic castle of Price Eric, and then wonder around beaches and waterfalls until you enter a cave-like area. There are plenty of things to see from the human world here. At last you enter the loading area, and are greeted with your own personal clam shell vehicle (an Omnimover) and a beautiful mural that sets the stage for the ride.
