Sources are reporting that the Disneyland Resort in California, including the Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, are closing on the morning of March 14 due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Currently, the shut down is planned to last until the end of March.
Disneyland Resort hotels will stay open until March 16 so that guests can make travel arrangements.
Shopping Stays Open, Cast Members Get Paid
Disneyland’s Downtown Disney is currently expected to remain open, but the Disney Company will monitor the situation.
Disney will continue to pay it’s Cast Members during this closure.
Guests who booked vacation packages through the Walt Disney Travel Company can reschedule their visit for a future time in 2020 and won’t have to pay the typical $50.00 change fee.
At this time, Disney has not made any announcements about closing the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
