The hard-working folks at Disney World are always busy maintaining the parks and resorts. Sometimes this means taking down attractions for refurbishments.
Disney is planning to temporarily shut down quite a few attractions in the first half of 2020 for maintenance.
Let’s take a look:
Magic Kingdom
The Walt Disney World Railroad
Downtime: Continued through the first half of 2020

The railroad (with its stops on Main Street USA, Frontierland, and Storybook Circus) will remain closed in the first half of 2020 at Disney continues work on the new Tron roller coaster in Tomorrowland.
Splash Mountain
Downtime: January 6 – February 28, 2020

It’s not unusual for Dinsey to close outdoor water-based attractions in January and February for maintenance. The cool weather means many guests would not ride them anyway.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Downtime: May 4 – May 21, 2020

Perhaps Disney needs some time to touch up the rocks!
Swiss Family Treehouse
Downtime: April 27 – May 4, 2020

EPCOT
Test Track
Downtime: January 13 – February 27, 2020

Animal Kingdom
Kali River Rapids
Downtime: January 6 – March 21, 2020

This looks to be another standard winter refurbishment of an outdoor water ride.
Water Parks
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Downtime: January 13 – March 28, 2020

Disney’s Blizzard Beach
Downtime: January 1 – January 13, 2020
Glad to see Disney making extensive attraction refurbishments?
