There’s a lot going on in Disney World right now, so it should come as no surprise that they need to add to their team. Most notably, Toy Story Land is opening on June 30th, 2018, in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney needs to staff this whole new area. For this and other reasons, summer tourism is expected to be at an all-time high in the next several months.
Disney announced that they’re hosting job fairs for a variety of positions, and they need to hire 3,500 people for seasonal, part-time, and full-time positions before the end of May!
Positions include housekeeping, transportation, lifeguard, and dining, and those who are hired full-time are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a signing bonus of up to $3,000!
Here are the details about Disney’s Big Spring Hiring Event’s job fairs:
Housekeeping: The housekeeping (AKA Mousekeeping) job fairs are held every Monday through Friday from now until the end of May from 9am to 3pm. On May 9th, interviewers will stay late until 6pm for those who can’t make it during the day. If you’re interested in Housekeeping, head to the Walt Disney World Resort Casting Center during this time to get details about the positions and apply. They will be conducting interviews on the spot.
Lifeguarding: If you’re interested in lifeguarding (and you’re over 16 years of age), you can apply in person at Typhoon Lagoon on May 2. Interviews will be done on the spot along with an onsite swim test.
Culinary: Experienced chefs can learn about role availability, meet current Disney chefs, and interview on the spot with recruiters on April 23 at ESPN Wide World Of Sports.
Transportation: If you’re interested in a job that’s fast-paced and you like to drive, you could become a Disney Bus driver. These interviews are being done online now through May 31st. There are both full- and part-time positions available for drivers!
