Walt Disney World has extended operating hours at its parks in November and at Christmastime:
Hours Extended
Magic Kingdom
- November 6-8, 13-15, and 20-21: the park will close at 9 pm
- December 20-30: the park will open at 8 am and close at 10 pm
Until now, the Magic Kingdom has been open from 9 am to 7 pm on most weekdays, and has been open from 9 am to 8 pm on most weekends.
As of now, Disney plans to close the Magic Kingdom at 7 pm on New Year’s Eve, which is traditionally one of the busiest days of the year. There are no special events planned, such as the usual fireworks spectacular.
EPCOT
- December 20-30: the park will open at 10 am and close at 9 pm
Until now, EPCOT has opened at noon.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- December 20-30: the park will open at 9 am and close at 8 pm
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- December 20-30: the park will open at 7 am and close at 7 pm
Hours Reduced
While Disney has extended hours around Christmastime, the hours are shorter after the first of the year:
Magic Kingdom
- January 3-9: the park will open at 9 am and close at 6 pm
This includes an earlier closing time than the usual 7 pm or 8 pm closing.
EPCOT
- January 3-9: the park will open at noon and close at 8 pm

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- January 3-9: the park will open at 10 am and close at 7 pm
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- January 3-9: the park will open at 9 am and close at 5 pm
