Disney World Donates Easter Lilies to Local Seniors

Disney continues to share with its local communities during the Coronavirus outbreak.  First, it was donating food, then rain ponchos, and now flowers.

Disney Cast Member Michelle Giger Rohrmann manages one of the company’s nurseries that grows Easter Lilies.  With the Disney parks closed and the lilies not in use as decorations, she worked with the company to donate 200 plants to local seniors. The flowers will be sent with Easter Meals on Wheels deliveries via the Osceola Council on Aging.

Michelle said, “To me, the lily is really symbolic of springtime – after a long, hard winter, the first thing to pop up is a lily. It’s a good representation of how we’ll come out of this together. We’ll pull through this. Better days are on their way.”
