Some Disney World vacationers love the Free Dining package that Disney typically offers each year. Free Dining is almost always linked to a non-discounted Magic Your Way package – meaning you need to pay the full rate for rooms plus tickets.
Disney usually offers the deal early summer before kids get out of school and in early fall right at the beginning of the traditional school year to encourage vacationing during these times.
But Disney is known to mix things up occasionally, and that’s just what they’re doing right now.
Disney World just announced a Free Dining offer, but this offer is only for kids ages 3 to 9. The offer has to be booked before August 1st, 2018 with a non-discounted Magic Your Way vacation package for sometime between May 28th through August 30th, 2018 at one of the Disney resort hotels. The catch is that adults have to pay for their own dining plan, and everyone must be on the same plan level (Quick Service, Standard, or Deluxe).
Make the Most of Free!
So if the kid’s dining plans are free but the adults have to pay, you might be wondering how you can use this to your advantage.
Kids and adults on the same plan get the same amount of credits, but kids get it for less. For example, everyone on the Quick-Service Dining Plan gets two quick-service credits per day and two snack credits per day. Many breakfast items count as a snack, so people commonly use one credit for a breakfast item and the other for an actual snack like a Mickey Ice Cream Bar. The two quick-service credits can be used for lunch and dinner meals.
