It’s never too early to think about Christmastime. That’s what I like to say, and that’s what the folks at Disney may well be thinking as well as they announced many of the special events that will make the 2021 holiday season special all around Walt Disney World.
Let’s take a look!
See Santa Claus
Santa will make appearances around Disney World.
- At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, he will ride down Hollywood Blvd. in a red convertible.
- At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, he will sail across Discovery River.
- At the Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney Springs, Santa will say hello and allow guests “individualized time,” although Disney didn’t expound on what that means.
Magic Kingdom: Very Merriest After Hours Event
The Magic Kingdom will present an after-hours, hard ticket Christmas event on 24 nights, starting November 8, 2021, and going through December 21, 2021.
Castle Stage Show
Disney will present a show called “Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories” in front of Cinderella Castle.
Attraction Overlays
The event will offer Christmastime overlays at the Monster, Inc. Laugh Floor and at the Jungle Cruise (which in the past was temporarily renamed t the Jingle Cruise).
Parade
The full-length “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” will return, complete with elves, reindeer, and Santa Claus.
Fireworks
“Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” show will return, including projections, fireworks, and Christmas music.
Dance Party
The Magic Kingdom will present Club Tinsel at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
Disney Springs
The popular Christmas Tree Stroll will return with specially decorated Disney Christmas trees throughout the Springs. Each tree has a Disney theme.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Merry Menagerie
The Merry Menagerie will return to the Discovery Island section of the park with life-sized puppets, including foxes, reindeer, polar bears, and penguins controlled by talented puppeteers.
Character Flotilla
Goofy, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and other Disney characters will set sail on Discovery River.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Sunset Seasons Greetings project and light show will return to Sunset Blvd, including projections on the Hollywood Tower Hotel.
“For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” will add a new holiday-themed finale.
EPCOT
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays returns with music, dance, and storytelling from November 26, 2021, to December 30, 2021.
