Disney's Lake Buena Vista golf club pro shop entrance at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

For some, vacation and golf go hand in hand. For those avid golfers, Disney World is a favorite destination because they have some pretty cool golf courses.

Disney is in the process of upgrading its golf courses to make them even better than they already are!

Disney World has four world-class golf courses. Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course (18 holes) has a classic country-club feel in the middle of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Disney’s Palm Golf Course (18 holes), Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course (18 holes), and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course are all in the Disney’s Polynesian Resort area.

Course Developments

The bunkers at the Magnolia course were upgraded in 2015, and now Lake Buena Vista golf course, Palm golf course, and Oak Trail Golf Course (nine holes) will also receive some treatments.

Perhaps best of all, the bunkers at Lake Buena Vista and Oak Trail will be Mickey-shaped like the number six one at Magnolia. That’s not all though; even bunkers that will not become Mickey-shaped will be enhanced with new powdery white sand, and some of the greens will be restored to their original size and resurfaced with paspalum grass, which will be the first time ever on a Disney putting green.

Developments began at Lake Buena Vista on June 18th and will start on June 25th at the Oak Trail course. Both courses will be done by mid-August. From July 2nd through late August, Lake Buena Vista will operate as a 9-hole course.

While the renovations are taking place, guests will receive discounted rates on both courses. If you’d rather play on a course that is not under redevelopment, you can pay regular price at either the Magnolia or Palm course.
