Sources are reporting that Disney has started to take over the operations of the shops and restaurants in the Morocco pavilion at EPCOT.
As is the case with some shops and restaurants around World Showcase, a third party company ran the operations for Morocco. In April, Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant, LLC requested a PPP loan at the start of the pandemic. Disney filed a lien in September with the intent of assuming operations.
Disney has temporarily closed most locations in Morocco, with plans to reopen them shortly under Disney management:
The shops are closed. Some will reopen on December 12, while others will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
Spice Road Table, the sit-down restaurant on the shore of World Showcase lagoon, is closed and should reopen on December 13.
Restaurant Marrakesh, the sit-down restaurant deep inside the pavilion, is closed until further notice.
Looking forward to the reopening of Morocco at EPCOT?
