Disney Springs Reopening FAQ: No Face Mask, No Admission

Now that we are just a few days away from the reopening of Disney Springs, Disney has released some additional questions and answers about what we can expect when we are back on Disney property.

No Overflow Parking

The Orange Garage and Lime Garage will open initially, and hte Grapefruit Garage will not be open to the public. Disney will also not open surface parking or valet.

If the Orange Garage and Lime Garage fill up, guests will not be able to park at Disney Springs.

It seems this may be one way that Disney will control crowd levels.

Dining Reservations

Disney will not guarantee parking for those with dining reservations. If you have a dining reservation and can’t get into Disney Springs because the parking is full, Disney will waive the dining guarantee charge.

Rideshare Is Available

Disney will allow rideshare services to pick up and drop off in the Marketplace lot, near the World of Disney store.

Disney Springs will only reopen two garages initially.

Temperature Screening

Just like with the reopening of Shanghai Disneyland, Disney Springs will require that guests have a temperature screening using a touchless thermometer.

Temperature screenings will take place on the second floor of the parking garages, as well as the Hotel Plaza Bridge and the rideshare drop off.

There will be no bag check.

Face Masks Are Required. Really.

Disney will require that all guests three years and older wear a face mask. All Cast Members and employees will wear them as well. Disney may have disposable masks, but they are not guaranteed.

If you don’t have a mask, Disney will not let you in. If you don’t want to wear a mask, Disney will not let you in.

Basically, it seems pretty clear that there will be no exceptions.

Physical Distancing

Bars Will Not Reopen

Disney will not reopen standalone bars at this time. However, restaurants that normally serve adult beverages can do so.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Botique Will Not Reopen

While Orange County regulations allow barbershops and salons to open as part of Full Phase 1, it seems Disney has decided that they will not Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique yet.

Cirque du Soleil Show: Drawn to Life

This new show by Cirque du Soleil was supposed to open in April, but never had an official debut. There is no new opening date, and Disney has not announced when the show will begin.
