Five Fun Pool Bars at Disney Resort Hotels

Walt Disney World may be the best place on the planet for creating experience the whole family can enjoy together, from dinner shows to attractions.

However, even when on a family vacation, here are occasions where gown ups like to get away for a little relaxation and an adult beverage.

My personal feeling is that Disney, being so family oriented, doesn’t normally focus too much attention on alcohol (with the Epcot Food and Wine Festival bring a major exception). However, there are actual bars all around Disney World property. In fact, there are actually several unique varieties of bars out there, including pool bars.

The pool bars at Disney World aren’t of the party-hearty variety, thankfully. There are all well themed and are sometimes tucked away. Of course they blend in with the theme of the surrounding area.

Let’s take a look at five fun pool bars a Disney Resort Hotels:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

The Uzima Springs Pool Bar sits between the wings of the lodge. It fits into the theming of the area very nicely with a thatched roof. Uzima Springs serves up the typical Disney cocktail menu but also adds in African beers.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort

Muddy Rivers looks like the old south personified with wide porches and a laid back feel.

Disney’s Coronado Springs

The pool at Coronado Springs is one of the best so it deserves a pool bar that matches. Siestas Poolside Bar is a fun place with brightly colored umbrellas. The bar has a grill that allows it to offer chicken sandwiches as well as hamburgers and hot dogs.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Trout Pass Pool Bar is near Bay Lake and provides a small seating area nearby. Many of the tables have umbrellas, which makes for a great way to escape Florida’s intense sun.

Disney’s Pop Century

Petals reminds you why flower power was so popular back in the day. It’s a fun place to listen to some groovy music while you take a break from the Hippy Dippy pool.
