During a call to review the company’s financial results for the first quarter, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said he expects that Disney will change the rules put in place to deal with the pandemic by 2022.
Will there be overlap until we know that we have herd immunity? Sure there will. But do we believe we’ll be in the same state of 6 foot social distance and mask wearing in 22? Absolutely not. – Bob Chapek
This probably does not mean that all COVID rules will be gone by 2022. However, Disney may not have to enforce the same strict social distancing and mask-wearing rules that are in place today.
Disney does expect to keep the current rules in place for the full year of 2021.
