Disney Is Ending It’s Express Transportation Service

Express Transportation was introduced in December 2016 as part of a series of Magical Extras that were directed at those willing to pay more for convenience. This add-on service cost $15 per person for a single day pass and $25 per person for a multi-day pass.

The buses traveled on backstage roads so it allowed for faster movement between parks. It also meant that guests didn’t have to go through security again upon arrival at the second park.

The service provided some very convenient extras and Disney said that guests who used the service liked it. However, guests ultimately preferred other forms of transportation.

Disney Express Transportation is ending on August 23rd, 2017.
Disney Express Transportation is ending on August 23rd, 2017.

As such, the service will end on August 23rd without even running for a year. The last day to purchase tickets will be August 16th and multi-day passes will remain usable until the service ends on the 23rd.

Out With Express, In With Minnie

Disney’s newest transportation offering is the Minnie Vehicle service . This service, which is available for $20 per ride and will take you anywhere on property, is a bit different from the Express Transportation.

Disney’s Minnie Van an on demand service, and it doesn’t go backstage. While this means that it takes a bit longer to get from point A to point B, it won’t ruin the magic for kids and some adults. You will, however, have to go through security again once you arrive at the park gate.

Currently, this service is in a soft-launch.
