As part of a pilot program, starting Sunday, October 15, 2017 Disney will allow guests to bring their dogs with them at four resort hotels:
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Rhe cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
Disney will allow up to two dogs per room, and the rooms will be near pet exercise and relief areas.
Disney will give fido and his owner a few perks, including:
Pluto’s Welcome Kit: At check in, furry guests will receive a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, courtesy plastic disposable bags, puppy pads and dog walking maps.
Pluto “Do Not Disturb” door hanger, which guests can use to let the hotel Cast members know that a pet is in the room.
Disney will still offer pet day care at Best Friends, which is a full-service pet care facility on Disney property. Best Friends is located not far from Disney Springs. Guest will still need to pay for this service.
Disney promises to offer pet merchandise at the participating resort hotels.
Disney will charge $50 per room, per night, except at the Yacht Club, where they will charge$75 per night.
