Pandora- The World of Avatar has brought in big crowds in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is creative, innovative, and totally immersive, and guests love that they can be transported to a new world – or moon as the case may be.

There are so many ways to connect to Pandora in very real ways, but one of the coolest I’ve found is located inside gift shop called Windtraders.

The ACE Avatar maker offers a unique opportunity to create your own Avatar. This digital process is led by a Alpha Centauri Expedition Scan Technician who will help you create a personalized Avatar action figure.

Step inside the transformation booth where you’ll be scanned by a state of the art facial capture scanner to see what you would look like as a human / Na’vi hybrid.

Have a seat. That thing above your head and the device in front of you (not pictured) will take some pictures of your face to create a likeness!

Once you’re scanned, you can choose your eye color, facial striping pattern, and hairstyle, which will likely be dark because the trait is always dominant as are yellow eyes. You can also choose from four body styles available in both youth and adult sizes.

After your scan is complete, the technician will give you an ACE identification tag, which is yours to keep. Come back in about 30 minutes, and use your ID tag to pick up your completed action figure from the ACE Avatar Maker Fabricator. It will be packaged in a box inspired by the Amnio tank, which can be seen in the Flight of Passage queue.

If you’d like to make your own Avatar, stop by Windtraders to make a reservation. Get there early because there’s limited space available, and it’s on a first come, first served basis.

The experience costs about $70.
