Each year, the talented artists, designers, and pastry chefs at Disney World come together at Christmastime to make some amazing displays. Traditionally, Disney’s Contemporary Resort creates an amazing gingerbread display.

This year, they did not disappoint.

In past years Disney created a display at the Contemporary that included a huge gingerbread Christmas tree along with a backdrop inspired by design style of Disney Legend Mary Blair. Mary Blair created the look for “It’s a Small World.”

This year, Disney did something of a mash-up, keeping the style of Mary Blair but focusing on the characters from – wait for it – Disney’s blockbuster “Frozen.”

Disney typically lists the impressive ingredients list for these creations, and this year the numbers are as big as ever: 311 pounds of honey, 514 pounds of flour, 212 eggs, and 423 pounds of chocolate.

The display is an attraction in itself.

Let’s take a look:

Like all good Disney attractions, there is a retail opportunity (gift shop) nearby. The little shop sells cookies, chocolate, rice krispy treats, and blue raspberry cake gelato.
