Cirque Du Soleil Files Bankruptcy, But New Disney Show May Still Open

Montreal-based Cirque Du Soleil has filed for a reorganization bankruptcy under U.S. Chapter 15 bankruptcy laws.  Chapter 15 is an infrequently used part of the US laws that allows foreign debtors access to US Bankruptcy Courts

Does this mean that the huge theater on the West Side of Disney Springs is set to be idled, and the new Drawn To Life show will never open to the public?

Maybe not.

Cirque du Soleil has issued a statement that their new “Drawn to Life” show may still open in the Fall.

Drawn to Life was originally scheduled to open on April 17, 2020, but was postponed indefinitely due to the Coronavirus.

Cirque Du Soleil laid off 90% of their employees but put them on temporary leave so that they can be recalled when performance resume.

Will you see the new Cirque show Drawn to Life at Disney Springs?
