Patrick Goddard, the President of Brightline Trains, held a meeting earlier today to discuss his company’s $2.4 billion project to connect Miami and West Palm Beach to the Orlando International Airport.
That high-speed rail project is about 45% complete and is on schedule to finish by the end of 2022.
This Miami to Orlando connection also appears to be a prerequisite to further extending the train service from Orlando International Airport to Disney Springs.
On November 23, Disney announced the new high-speed train station at Disney Springs. However, Disney did not announce a specific location for the new train station or a timeline for its construction.
Disney has conditions in its agreement with Brightline that it needs to complete certain milestones and get necessary government approvals.
Glad to hear high-speed rail from Miami to Orlando is on track?
