Disney tries to make things as convenient as possible for annual passholders – their most loyal guests. However, they recently put a new rule into place that might compromise this convenience.

Annual Passholders will now have to show photo identification at the toll plazas when scanning their MagicBand. While some Cast Members have checked for ID in the past, it has never been applied consistently.

Disney put new signs up at parking entrances instructing people to have their photo identification ready. This will create some congestion – at least until people get used to this new rule – but it’s meant to prevent non-annual passholders from using passholders’ MagicBands to get free parking.
